Abstract
EN Forest in the Lubuskie Province and the associated with it forest management and wood production have become the trademark of the region. The biological and economic richness and importance of the forest resources of the Lubuskie Province was described in a book "Forest told me" by Wlodzimierz Korsak, the renowned writer, artist, photographer, explorer and huntsman, but mostly woodsman, explorer and precursor of activities in the field of the nature protection, which lived, worked and created in Gorzow Wielkopolski from 1945 to 1972. The value of the forest areas for recreation and leisure is also described in the modern, professional literature. Therefore, the main aim of the study was to indicate a design concept of a regional tourist product, taking into account the recreational value of the existing forest resources, the associated with it forest and wood production, and the Wlodzimierz Korsak’s life in Gorzow. Based on the surveys, field research and analysis of professional literature a proposal for the thematic tourism product "Forest told me" was indicated. The study also indicated the recipients of the offer based on the proposed product, the scope of required investments and the hypothetical benefits for potential business partners.
