EN Authors of texts representing preaching communication first and foremost aim to influence the recipient's attitudes and opinions. The language of the analyzed ordinances – even though it is simple, clear and accessible to its receiver; in this case, a priest, group formator – rebuts the statement made by contemporary linguists. This style, dominated by terms related to broadly understood theology and religious communication, enhances the persuasive function of the text, while retaining stylistic characteristics of a religious language. The plurality and variety of the linguistic devices used enriches the language and style, and contributes to its complex modality. Therefore, its persuasive function is a superior one, and it comprises a range of linguistic and stylistic devices characteristic of religious language texts.
