PL Czas ery georgiańskiej i wiktoriańskiej to niezwykle cenne źródło inspiracji nie tylko dla pisarzy tamtych czasów, ale i współczesnych twórców, którzy akcję swoich powieści przenoszą do XVIII i XIX wieku. Artykuł ten poświęcony jest zarówno ukazaniu tła historycznego epok, dzieciństwa wybranych autorów, jak i obrazu edukacji (z uwzględnieniem aspektu nauki języków obcych) dzieci, który to sławni powieściopisarze kreowali potem w swoich dziełach na postawie własnych doświadczeń. Analiza uzupełniona zostaje o książki powstałe współcześnie a stylizowane na erę georgiańską i wiktoriańską.

EN The time of the Georgian and Victorian era is an extraordinary and valuable source of inspiration not only for the writers of those times but also for the contemporary writers who set the action of their novels in the 18th and 19th centuries. This article is devoted both to showing the historical traits of the epochs, and the image of education (including the aspect of language learning) of children, which the famous novelists later created in their works and which was based on their own experiences. The analysis is supplemented by books created in recent years and stylized as the Georgian and Victorian novels.
