Abstract
PL The article will present the issue of the specificity of diagnosis carried out for the purposes of speech therapy prophylaxis. The answer to the key question about what information should be collected to plan preventive measures will be preceded by an analysis of the terms of prophylaxis and prevention, a short presentation of the three levels of prevention: universal, selective and indicative. Attention will be paid to the role of risk factors in diagnosis in favor of prophylaxis. The analyzed issue is extremely important for speech therapy practice as it changes the current model of screening tests. It shifts attention from determining the current level / correctness of speech to the phenomena that are responsible for this correctness.
