Abstract

EN In flow processes in steam and gas turbines, in turbochargers or during flight at higher altitude in a far-field flow, the flow velocity can reach subsonic value or values that are no longer small compared to the speed of sound in each medium [1]. Understanding of the processes occurring during the flow is the basis for correct engine rotor design. To simplify the calculation of state variables of an isentropic gas flow within a Laval nozzle, a specific, targeted action was created with the help of a table. It is the general idea to bring mathematically explicable, physical processes in a clear and easily understandable form for the students.
