EN Optimization of abrasive waterjet (AWJ) machining is desirable due to more control parameters compared to traditional treatment techniques. The purpose of the paper is to select optimal parameters for cutting alloy structural steel for operation at elevated temperatures using abrasive waterjet (AWJ) processing. The selection of optimal parameters was carried out using the interactive multi-criteria decision-making method (TODIM). Abrasive flow rate pressure and traverse speed were selected as the process control parameters, were considered for evaluation. Meanwhile, depth of cut, side surface roughness and angle of inclination of the cut kerf (Fig. 1) were measured as response parameters for each experimental run. Three levels of each control parameter were selected for detailed experiments. Using the TODIM method, the best combination of process parameters was found in which maximization of depth of cut and minimization of roughness and inclination angle were achieved
