Abstract
EN The subject of the article is the role of Honorius Balzac in the drama by Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz The Wedding of Mr. Balzac. Dialogues of various characters of the drama were analysed referring to the French novelist and the statements of Honorius himself Balzac. These studies showed by what means and how the author of the drama creates a multifaceted and psychologically deep portrait of the great artist.
