Abstract
PL Human migration is most often and generally understood as a change or changes in the place of residence. It is done for a specific purpose and for specific reasons. The basic determinant of a person's decision to migrate are the conditions of ex- istence (living and development) in the place of his stay and in the place he intends to reach. For centuries, migration has been determined by numerous and often complex factors of various nature. Each type and nature of human migration has never been indifferent, especially to the human person himself. Moreover, the migration of numerous groups of people taking place at the same time and direction was not indifferent both to the place left and to the place of arrival of migrants. Observation of the causes and ef- fects of the movement of people led to the categorization of migration and its legal regulation. The investigations undertaken in this study focused mainly on the issue of security as an important stimulator of migration and took place in the context of two places - leaving and arriving (not always the final destination). The purpose of adopting such a cognitive approach was to show some of the characteristic dilemmas accompanying contemporary migration
