Abstract
PL Niniejszy szkic dotyczy problematyki konkurencyjności samorządów terytorialnych w Polsce. Autor odnosi się do obszaru szeroko pojętych usług publicznych, w rozumieniu podstawowego założenia, nie zaś do obszaru, w którym na ogół poruszają się komercyjni przedsiębiorcy działający w celu generowania zysku. Autor zauważa, że JST są niezwykle ważnym elementem konstytuującym rzeczywistość we wszelkich aspektach funkcjonowania wspólnoty, są swego rodzaju koordynatorem pomiędzy różnymi instytucjami oraz sektorem prywatnym, jak również tworzą warunki do rzeczywistego rozwoju w wymiarze mikro- i makroekonomicznym
EN This sketch deals with the issues of the competitiveness of local governments in Poland. The author refers to the area of broadly understood public services, within the meaning of the basic assumption, and not to the area in which commercial entrepreneurs operating in order to generate profit generally operate. The author notes that LGUs are an extremely important element constituting reality in all aspects of community functioning, they are a kind of coordinator between various institutions and the private sector, as well as create conditions for real development in the micro and macroeconomic dimension.
