EN The main goal of the article is to show the logic of business system logic in database design. At the conceptual design stage, the essence is to use the semantic SERM data model, which, thanks to the notation of relationship complexity (min; max), gives the designer the opportunity to more accurately determine the relationship between objects. The second important element in database design is not limited to creating a data structure, but also the use (design and software) of database server programming mechanisms such as procedures, functions and triggers that guard database consistency and business logic. This article presents the example of a Patient Service System and the Management of a Network of Private Medical Clinics
